Artigiano in Fiera Milan: 9 days of “Cultural Wonders”

Artigiano in Fiera is more than just a market; it is a concentrated tour of cultures and craftsmanship within Milan. The fair is arranged by geographical areas and themes: on the one hand, Italian regions with their gourmet and artisanal excellences, and on the other, pavilions separated by continent - Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. In a few steps, you can go from a Calabrian or Sardinian restaurant to an Asian market selling items from China, Nepal, or India, and then to an African or Australian food corner serving crocodile and kangaroo’s meat.

The experience is meant for sensory immersion. Stalls sell handcrafted items made of leather, wool, wood, glass, iron, jewellery, textiles, ceramics, home décor, and design from hundreds of traditions, while dozens of international restaurants and "Luoghi del Gusto / Places of Taste" serve full meals and unlimited tastings of cured meats, cheeses, sweets, oils, preserves, wines, and street food.

At the same time, the fair provides a lifeline for tiny artists in the age of e-commerce. About 3,000 micro and small firms present around 20,000 products, with many continuing sales year-round through a dedicated online showcase. For visitors, every purchase is a direct encounter with the maker and a tangible means to support living workmanship rather than nameless mass manufacturing.
